Emissions Reporting and Scope

Autism Clinic London confirms its commitment to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. As of the date of this plan, Autism Clinic London is in the process of completing its full greenhouse gas emissions assessment in accordance with the NHS Carbon Reduction Plan requirements and the GHG Protocol. Our emissions reporting will cover all required Scopes as follows:

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned vehicles and fuel combustion (currently negligible)
  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from electricity consumption at our premises
  • Scope 3: Indirect emissions from activities such as staff commuting, business travel, procurement, and waste.

If any Scopes are not fully reported in our baseline year, we will provide a clear explanation and set out plans to include those in future updates. Our initial reporting period will cover the 12 months prior to the commencement of the procurement in question, with no more than a 12-month gap between data collection and submission.

Where this plan is submitted as part of a consortium, each member organisation will complete and submit its own Carbon Reduction Plan.

Environmental Management Measures in Contract Delivery

When delivering services under NHS contracts, Autism Clinic London will implement the following environmental management measures:

  • Promote virtual assessments where clinically appropriate to reduce travel
  • Use digital documentation systems to minimise paper usage
  • Encourage staff to use public or low-emission transport methods
  • Procure office and clinical supplies from environmentally responsible suppliers
  • Adopt energy-saving practices across all premises (e.g., low-energy lighting, automatic power-down of equipment)
  • Regularly monitor and report sustainability progress to internal leadership and NHS stakeholders
